Banjo legend Curtis McPeake and Andy returned to the Country Music Hall of Fame this past weekend for an instrument demonstration in the lovely Rotunda. They picked a few tunes, answered questions from the audience, and told stories about life in the music business. This turned out to be a very warm gathering on a very cold day! We had an attentive audience who asked great questions, and – as you can see from the pictures – that made it a lot of fun for everyone.
After the more formal part of the presentation, Andy and Curtis moved to the center of the Rotunda to check out the room’s acoustics from there. Turned out, the sound was amazing! It was a delight to cap things off with a performance of “Salt Creek” by a young fiddler, a visitor to the Country Music Hall of Fame who was in the audience, backed up by Curtis and Andy.
