• If you are already a subscriber, this will NOT duplicate your subscription. It will update it with information from this form. • If you've never subscribed to our eNews, please know that we don't send a flood of actual full-list eNewsletters. (Who has time?!) We strive to put out four per year, providing information on other programs and opportunities for young musicians as well as our own Acoustic Kids updates. • You can unsubscribe from the list at any time from the link in any eNews we send you. (We recommend waiting until after your showcase to unsubscribe, though!)
• Audience members might also take photos or videos of your performance, including the introduction (as described above), and the Festival, Acoustic Kids, and Andy May have no control over their use. • Performers may be identified by name in photographs and video of the showcases that are shared online. • Participation in Acoustic Kids is an opportunity for Festival attendees. There is neither a charge nor compensation for participating, and a Festival wristband is required.
• Please enter an email address you monitor regularly! It's not required, but we do rely on email communication in order to manage the showcases. • Your email address will be subscribed to Acoustic Kids eNews as described in "How we use your information," above. • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any eNews we send you.
• You may also choose to subscribe to Stay Tuned, the Andy May eNews, which focuses on Andy's other activities: Shows, releases, production work, his Swift River Music label, etc. New Subscribers: You will need to confirm your subscription by responding to the confirmation email we send you. Current Subscribers: Your information will be updated, not duplicated. • You can unsubscribe from this list at any time from the link in any eNews we send you.
• jpg, png, or pdf • Max size, 1MB • Photos can be fussy. Please check to be sure your photo meets file size and type requirements before uploading. If you're having trouble, please try the form in a different browser, go back to the previous page using the "Take me back!" button below then return to this page using the "Onward!" button, or provide links to the photos in the comments section, below. And, please accept our apologies!
• Your demos need to be family-friendly to be considered. We realize you're not a kid anymore, but please keep the audience in mind! 🙂 • Andy plans the showcases based on these demos. Each demo you submit should be pretty much as you want to perform it in the showcase so that he can put together a showcase that flows. Making changes gets extremely complicated. • We just need one demo, but submitting more gives Andy more options. • Maximum length: 3.5 minutes. Shorter is fine, as long as it's the complete song or tune as you propose to play it in the showcase. • Use a standard format (MP3, MP4, etc) for demos, please!! • Use recent recordings. If you can, record a new demo just for this purpose.
• Most of these sites offer free accounts that are more than adequate for this purpose, and most allow you to make files only accessible to those who have the direct link - which is the URL that you will share with us. • Please make sure to designate your demos as "unlisted," "secret," or the like, as opposed to "private." If they are private Andy won't be able to access them.
• Dropbox.com, Google Drive, or similar file-sharing site. • Upload here.
• Maximum file size: 50MB, which should be more than enough for a properly formatted 1- to-3-minute demo video or audio file. • The file(s) will load when you move to the next page of the form. • Depending on your file size and connection speed, it may take up to a few minutes for your file to upload and the next page to show. • Be sure to check file size before you start uploading! If your file is too large, it can cause the form to hang. • If your file is larger than 50MB, you can still upload it to YouTube and give us the link, or upload it to dropbox.com and share it with [email protected]. • For more information, visit Demo Nitty-Gritty in the Instructions.
• Please submit one to three group performance demos of songs or tunes you want to perform in the showcase. • If you are requesting an Individual guest spot as well, you should have already been asked for your individual demos by the form. (If not, please return to the "Type of Performance" question and enter "Both." • Your demos need to be family-friendly to be considered.
