Singer, songwriter, guitarist, mandolinist, producer, educator, and visual artist, Andy May, has played venues from honky-tonks to Carnegie Hall. He started and runs the IBMA award-winning record label, Swift River Music, holds a World Championship on guitar from Union Grove, NC, and is a yearly performer and workshop presenter at Winfield (since 1989) and MerleFest (since 2001). His Acoustic Kids showcases have given hundreds of young performers supportive performance opportunities for over twenty years. His song, “Sweetest Story Ever Told,” was heard around the world in the CBC television series Eric’s World, which was nominated for a Gemini Award, and the MCA release, Can’t Sit Down, which was nominated for a Juno Award.
